Dr. Louis Scholarship 2022-2023

For Medical Students

Future medical students are welcome to apply here for the Dr. Louis Hampers Scholarship for Medical Students. A prize of $1,000 is to be awarded to a single student that is studying on the path to become a doctor. The requirement for entry into the contest is a short essay and the winner of the award will be chosen based on the content in the essay.

Scholarship Overview

Dr. Louis Hampers studied for many years to become a medical professional, and he would like a chance to pay it forward to the next generation of medical students through this scholarship award.

The Dr. Louis Hampers Scholarship for Medical Students is announcing our fund that is open to future medical students and is located in the United States. We will be giving a monetary award to a hardworking student that is studying to work in the field of medicine, and we hope to create awareness for the wide range of issues that young students undergo along their path to becoming doctors.



To apply, student must be enrolled at a university in the United States who is studying medicine and on the road to become a doctor, or a high school student that will attend university for a medical degree.

The scholarship will be given based on the best essay from our essay competition.  We will select one winner based on a creative essay of under 1,000 words which answers this:  

“Describe an problem in the medical field and how you would use your degree in medicine to help improve upon this issue.”


One time award of $1,000


The deadline to apply for the scholarship is June 15, 2023.

Winner Announced

The winner for the scholarship will be announced July 15, 2023.

Applicant should email their response to the essay question “Describe an problem in the medical field and how you would use your degree in medicine to help improve upon this issue.” in Word Doc format to: apply@drlouishampersscholarship.com.
